I am an educator, mentor, and consultant; I am also neurodivergent. I partner with other neurodiverse people to provide them with support and create solutions to tackle the unique barriers faced by simply existing in a neurotypical world.
My coaching services are adaptable in breadth and depth. We can choose to keep it general or focus on areas such as executive dysfunction, unmasking, dating, relationships, budgeting, communication, understanding and accepting late diagnosis (please note: self-diagnosis is valid), and other common concerns.
I see a unique opportunity for neurodiverse coaches, such as myself, to serve our community in a way that only we can—through our first-hand understanding of the neurodiverse experience. I am motivated by the opportunity to support my community, who have sought help from well-intentioned providers who are trained for neurotypical and allistic clientele. As a mental health professional, I spent years adapting the training I received to not only help others but to create a life in which I practice what I teach to create the life that works for me. Every day, I seek to continue educating myself regarding what works for people like us.
If you’ve ever felt like you are different from other people in ways that are obvious or even ways you can’t quite explain—I want to help you. You shouldn’t have to struggle with feeling unseen; wondering why what has worked for others misses the mark for you. I need you to know that it’s not your fault. I believe that when we attempt to generalize approaches, and oversimplify needs, we ostracize entire populations of individuals who fall outside of what is considered typical. Simply put: those methods were not developed for us.
My approach is to assist you in identifying your unique strengths and abilities, while amplifying them in a way that works for you, to reach your goals and your definition of success. The neurodiverse experience may manifest in ways that negatively impact us, often on a daily basis. This experience may shape our identity, potentially leading to a negative sense of self-worth. Being at war with oneself, trying to fight against your nature, is rarely sustainable. This is not the way it has to be. We will dig down, together, to the root of the problem, identify your strengths and barriers, and work together to create a reality that is congruent with who you truly are.
